Derek Flint is one of the most knowledgeable hockey training specific coaches in the Lower Mainland. My eldest son was fortunate to have had Derek as his coach during his second year of playing minor hockey. Not only did my son improve considerably, but the weakest skaters on the team did so as well and I firmly believe it's a direct result of Derek's coaching ability. Derek was so dedicated to the development of the kids that he organized dry-land training once a week at a local elementary school gym. I was so impressed with my son's improvement that I immediately signed him up for Puckmasters Hockey Academy during the off-season, which was a new initiative Derek became involved with.

Derek is well organized and plans every training session on paper unlike most who simply try to wing it once they have your dollar. Derek believes on emphasizing the fundamentals and has more drills to make this happen than anyone else I know. I've adopted many of his training techniques because they work.
